TrueNAS 3-2-1 Backup Strategy: Local + Offsite + ZFS Replication

Description
In this video, I walk through the TrueNAS data protection toolbox and how it maps to a practical 3-2-1 backup strategy: snapshots, rsync, replication (local + remote), and offsite cloud options. Cloud Sync Tasks (Storj / Azure Blob / S3-compatible): Copy, move, or sync data to/from a provider; choose Push vs Pull, and be careful with “Sync” because it can delete non-matching files on the destination. Periodic Snapshot Tasks: Point-in-time ZFS snapshots to roll back changes and recover deleted data. Rsync Tasks: File-level copy/sync to another NAS/Linux box when you want a straightforward filesystem mirror. Replication Tasks: ZFS dataset/zvol replication for fast restores and disaster recovery, either to another pool or a remote TrueNAS. If you’ve ever done the “nightly manual copy of modified files”… this is the automated, safer, and more scalable way.
